SR Strategic Sourcing collaborates with organisations and senior procurement executives to exceed targets and deliver bottom line results from a business aligned, skilled and developed procurement function. Our team of skilled, experienced consultants work closely with our customers to fully understand their business strategy and needs, from which we will mutually develop a tailored offering to fully deliver each customer’s requirements from a developed Procurement function, maximising key supplier relationships to deliver excellent performance and competitive advantage to the business.

Gary Tinsley (FCIPS), BA (Hons), DTLLS

Gary has over 30 years of experience in the field of Sourcing, Supplier and Supply Chain Management across both the Public and Private Sectors and internationally.
Following 7 years in the Public Sector, Gary held Director roles in two very large UK Companies, first as Purchasing Director and then Group Purchasing Chairman. From here Gary held the role of Buying & Merchandising Director for a large UK Education Mail Order business, responsible for the Buying, Inventory Management, Direct Supply, Supply Chain and Quality departments, managing 120 employees and over 20,000 SKU’s from a global supply base.
Since 2012  Gary has delivered extensive training, coaching and additional consultancy procurement services, both in the UK and internationally, to recognized customers such as Lloyds Banking Group, CocaCola and NHS Supply Chain. Additionally, Gary has delivered training throughout the Middle East.
Gary has a wealth of global sourcing experience, from the very exacting requirements of the Automotive sector to the variable and price sensitive Mail Order retail environment. In a procurement role Gary has operated globally in India, Taiwan, China, Thailand, Malaysia, USA, and all over Europe.
Gary is a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply, (FCIPS) and has delivered courses directly on behalf of CIPS on a global basis from Negotiation training with NATO to commercial training with Coca-Cola.Gary has successfully delivered to over 1000 CIPS students over the last 6 years.

Susan Rashid (FCIPS), MBA, PGCE, CPSM

Susan (Sue) started her career in the automotive industry within the supply chain, and over the last couple of decades has gained experience in both the private and public sector, holding positions from Office Manager, Material Controller, Project Manager, Procurement Manager to Managing Director. She operated internationally and has first-hand experience of JIT, Kaizen, Benchmarking and total quality management approaches. Her passion for procurement and training led to becoming a full time lecturer of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) and member of the CIPS examination team. Her portfolio of delivery includes being Lead Tutor at the National School of Government, British Airways, GCHQ, Skills Funding Agency and many more.

In 2007 Susan established our sister organisation,SR Supply Chain Consultants Limited, a Lancashire based training provider for the CIPS qualification ladder and now also provides assessments and CPD throughout the UK. In 2013 her business achieved the Silver Standard Investors in People Award and then went on in 2014 to be nominated for NHS Excellence in Supply Awards in two categories. In 2015 her business has also been nominated for The E3 Skills, Education and Training Business Award.
Susan is a “down to earth” practitioner who uses experience, examples, workshops, assessments, case studies and group work to deliver her courses. She is highly experienced and skilled and adapts her delivery to the unique requirements of each group she teaches. Susan’s team of tutors are representative of her ethos of quality, customer service and drive to succeed in providing quality training and CPD to her customers.

Greg Jackson (MCIPS), BA (Hons), MBA

Greg started his career in the Public sector, working within the Works Department at Preston City Council gaining a wealth of experience in Public sector tendering and project costing. Greg went on to take Managerial positions in wholesale and distribution, adding substantial expertise in expediting, warehousing and logistics management, centralised procurement, own label procurement, category management and commodity buying.
Greg took responsibility for internal training and felt a growing satisfaction from seeing others progress and achieve.In 2011 Greg joined our sister organisation, SR Supply Chain Consultants Ltd, realising that teaching was his passion and joined SR Supply Chain and is now Director of Training.
Greg is fully MCIPS qualified and also has a Maths and I.T Degree. His specialist subject is CIPS Level 6 Supply chain diligence, although he also has a flair for Effective Negotiation and our other Open Course subjects.
Utilising his IT skills Greg creates innovative course material, quizzes and tests as fantastic tools for his delegates.
